When I originally signed up for a Bookzio ad for the free 5 day promo for my Recycling Humanity box set, I didn’t realize it was going to be the week of Cyber Monday. I would’ve assumed it would be a bad week for promotions with all the other Cyber Monday deals going on, but it turned out exceptionally well.
The Recycling Humanity collection is the first three books in the series. I used a Kindle Select free book promotion to make the set free for five days from November 28 – December 2. I then ran the Bookzio ad during that time.
The collection climbed as high as number thirteen on the Top 100 Free Kindle books. There were several subcategories during the week that it came in number one! It was a very exciting week watching the box set rising in the different subcategories. It still remains in the top 25 in Kindle paid teen space opera.
During those five days I had 15,215 downloads! This was the most of any promotion that I’d run on any of my books. I also gained a few reviews, and earned money from the Kindle pages read. I consider this a great success for my first try at a Bookzio promotion. My intent was to get my stories out to more readers, and that’s exactly what happened.
The process of setting up the promotion is easy and straight forward. As you can see from the screen shot I’ve attached from one of the e-mail ads from the campaign, they do a professional job with their advertisements. I also found my ad on their Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter feeds.
I would definitely recommend Bookzio promotions to new and established authors alike. I intend to use them again in the future.

Biolab Zeg description:
A SECRET BIOLAB. DANGEROUS MERCENARIES.
ONE GIRL MUST LOSE EVERYTHING TO SAVE THE REST OF HUMANITY.
Time is running out for the last remnants of humanity. They must migrate to another solar system in order to survive. 17-year-old Sadie Kerum has been training to become an engineer and pilot, but she’s not very good at either job. Secretly, she’s found her passion working on the hidden Biolab Zeg, where Dr. Evans, a terraforming expert, is training her.
While helping rescue a shipful of orphans near Biolab Zeg, mercenaries attack Sadie’s ship. She must risk revealing her carefully held secret in order to save her precious cargo.
But the mercenaries aren’t the only dangers she must face. Sadie is soon caught in the middle of a deadly power struggle between people that want to alter humanity’s future at any cost. Only Sadie can sort through the secrets and lies to save humanity from the danger from within their own leadership.
I hope you enjoy these novels as much as I’ve enjoyed writing them! YA SF book lovers!
With my Recycling Humanity’s third book in the series, Biolab Zeg, I’m trying something new. Pre-orders on Amazon. I’m hoping to get more reviews this way, so that the Recycling Humanity world is visible to more readers!
I love this post-apocalyptic world and the kick-ass young women and men that are making it a better place despite all the challenges I keep throwing at them. Biolab Zeg gets us even closer to the Migration toward humanities’ new home, and gives us yet another flawed but strong young woman to go through space adventures with.
As the date gets closer to the August 1, 2016 availability, I will give updates on how it’s progressing. Right now it looks like only the e-book is up for pre-order.
If anyone is interested in a free e-copy of Biolab Zeg in return for an honest review, email me at author (at) heatherleedyer (dot) com!
Thank you, awesome readers!
In 2015 when I published Recycling Humanity and Starlight Max, it was only going to be the two books in the series. I didn’t want to do a trilogy since I have issues with odd numbers (I know, right?). But I’ve had many readers requesting more stories in the Recycling Humanity universe, and I love the characters and the world they’re surviving in, so I’ve decided to write at least two more books. Four is a great number!
The third book in the series will be coming out this July 2016. To celebrate and prepare for its launch, we’ve created all new covers! When I originally was going to have only the two books we did a special photo shoot with an amazing model for the cover. It was an incredible experience to go through the whole process. But now that I’ve introduced at least two more books to the series, I need covers that will all go together. And my graphic artist did an awesome job! Such fun!
Hope you enjoy these covers! I’ll have news of #3 soon!
